* 2004 - In December 2003, the Church Board decided to have a 50th anniversary celebration. They ask Mr. and Mrs. Harold High and Mrs. Donna Patten to co-chair this event. They met and decided what would be needed to accomplish a successful event. There were several different areas that would need a committee - namely Food, Promotion, Finding former members, Contacting former staff, and Decorations. Their first full committee meeting was held on March 14. At that time the committees were each given their respective duties. Each of the committees accepted their assignments with enthusiasm and began the work of putting this event together. As this was broadcast around from person to person, we found that some of the former members were very excited about coming back to celebrate with us. Several people that were not on any of the committees got involved in preparing the church property so it would be in tip-top shape for the celebration weekend: most of the interior was repainted, pictures of former pastors were found and framed, and the original documents of Charter Members were found, cleaned up, and hung up for all to see.
